Plínk, Plønk, Pləŋk

A lovely string quintet (of sorts), and the second track from the 2011.06.09 session, with our friend and guest performer, Luke Furman.

Featuring sounds which could only be made so consistently by someone who has spent years learning and playing viola, followed by years forgetting all of it.

INSTRUMENTATION:

Timbill Corder - Whamola
Trey Beauregard - Baritone Ukulele
Melissa Burcham - Acoustic Guitar
Tommy Scheurich - Cello
Luke Furman - Viola

i think i may have said this before about some of your stuff, but this has a very English feel to it. It's like a rougher version of the sort of things you'd find on Obscure Records in the mid 70s by Gavin Bryars or John White or Christopher Hobbs. Kind of pastoral in a screwed up, sour way. That's a compliment btw. Was this entirely free or did you agree on a key etc?
