This is a song I wrote about some photos I found of people in my family. This isn't some kind of metaphor. Dammit, this is real.
Sorry about the drumming. I am a poor drummer. That incessant guitar line should make up for it though.

this is great. the unfolding of riff and tune and noise is well thought out, and the drumming is really fine. I just wish the vox was a little sharper, 'cause the lyrics are fun and your voice is prefect. Still: A good song is being killed, friend.

Hehe, "its not a metaphor" DAMNIT! Really like that, the main melody bend on the guitar is nice as well: agree with erik, lo-fi 90's esque, tres populaire sound and very cool.
The drums could do with tightening up a little (Mind you, I have heard much much worse)
The acoustic and the electric (amiright?) compliment eachother very nicely when they are in harmony, once out though, the overdrive is a little heavy, maybe worth dialing it back just a little? Dont lose it all together though, it's cool. Solid tune :)

Next time I record this, I'm definitely going to have my brother drum. He's got a completely different beat for it that I really like and simply cannot play. He's also got a piano part for it that is quite nice, so I'll probably have some Rhodes on this too.
I laid down the acoustic first as a scratch, not intending to keep it, but it worked so in it stayed. In so many words, this is far from a final draft.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite songs that I've written. It's a lot of fun to play and it's a simple song about my family and I'm really happy to hear that someone really likes it on its own terms. Thanks.
