If You Got The Time

The second song from our first self-recording session. This one rides on a solid bassline, and has a big chorus and a powerful ending.

This and When Morning Comes sound pretty good to me. I think they'd be great for demos.

I'm sure you guys have already thought of this and I am NOT one of the great music techs here, but I can only think of two ways to take it up a notch or two. A. Only record one track at a time so each can have its own channel on your DAW (so that you can adjust levels.) or B. Get a little 4 channel mixer so that you can adjust the levels on sound check. Little mixing boards are cheap as heck at the local pawn shop.

For wingin' it with only two inputs, these sound pretty damn great. The musicianship and rock n' roll are totally right there.

Are you recording for a demo, web project or album? I remember you mentioning it a while back but don't remember the specifics.

Thanks man, glad you like them. We're trying to put an album together for early next year, once we work the kinks out of this process. I have a feeling we'll redo these tracks later, but for right now they should be good for getting shows.

We're recording again tomorrow, and I want to try it the same way but with the guitar turned way down so there is more room to bring the bass and drums up in the mix. I like your idea of using a mixing board, we have enough mics to do it and that would really help with the kick and snare.
