Green Boots

This might be a good song for a sunny summer weekend! My wife Sue sings it. Other ingredients: Autoharp, marimba, and a boss baritone sax solo supplied by MeFi's own man vs sun.

Sue hasn't sung any songs in a while, so she went through my "bag of song titles" and picked this one out and I wrote a song for her. I was all like "let's make it a reggaeton song!" and she was all like "well, no." So here it is, anyway.

Thanks again to man vs sun for the sax!

I was present for the recording of said sax solo (I even pushed Ctrl + R for it and everything!), but had no idea what the end result would be, other than that it was a track for you, K. If only you knew how many takes were ruined by upstairs neighbours, apparently juggling chainsaws and clog dancing on cats in heat...

However, this song is effing adorable. I mean that sincerely, and in the best way possible. It all works beautifully. I'd been wondering when it was going to finally peek its head onto the black.
