I really have no explanation for what I was thinking on this.

This is like the soundtrack from some half-remembered childhood TV bit, complete with the sense of inexplicable and implacable low-level terror from surreal confusion and all.

Thanks all. It was odd how fast this came together - started playing with the bass line Saturday night and had it done Sunday evening. The main vocal was straight luck, I was looking for an effect that would make it sound robotic and hit on "swirling stereo chorus" which gave me the high pitched voice. Then I added the delay and it became this weird repeating thing, and I knew the key was to finish it without adding too much and killing what I had.
It's a lesson for me to get a vocal track down fast on these projects-- usually I layer and layer until it gets out of hand, then try to mix vocals into that mess. This one is just five tracks, but it has a lot of space and still feels complete.

The bass line is quite a lot like stand by me. But, no I won't, no I won't say a thing.
Good work.

I love the pitched voices; the deep "let's bring down" made me guffaw.
