Widow's Weeds

If this was part of a 20th Anniversary Re-Re-Re-Mastered Box Set + T-Shirt & Bottle-Opener kinda thang, it would be labelled "previously unrealised". That would, of course, be a deliberate typo in an irritatingly abstruse, smartass sort of way.
This is my 100th upload, I realise. I'm toying with the idea of retiring Major Dundee given that the old campaigner's derelict premises are beginning to look like they only contain, in Dylan Thomas's words, "rats and whispers". I may well reappear under a fresh flag of convenience....

Would retiring the good Major also signal a musical shift?

Further evidence of Dundee's senility is the fact that this track has previously been uploaded (how embarrassing...).
Would retirement indicate a musical shift? I would hope so, but it's hard to be sure. I tend to just follow where the muse - such as it is nowadays - leads. I think the idea of writing fewer songs but trying to keep the quality high is somethng I'd maintain - my attempt at "Lucky" I think being a case in point.
I'd really like to hook up with some other people on here as a kind of musical collective. It's sometimes difficult to maintain enthusiasm as a solo act when, in fact, that's not really happened out of choice but through force of circumstances. I'm the eternal sideman really - not a spotlight lover at all.

I would buy the box set. Love your voice and the understated delivery.
