Interesting Times

Written because I am finally starting to get back into recording stuff, and I needed to give myself a simple project to stretch my muscles. So I told myself to write a Stereolab song circa 1994. I haven't listened to Stereolab for few years. Now That I've recorded this, I'm gonna go back and listen to them.

This is fun and a great year-end anthem. I can totally see me doing the side hop dance to this.

I love the bounce on this, and the half-remembered spirit of the original - which makes it all the richer. Just needs a cooing female vocal in the mix...

I'm liking it.

It's definitely a pretty good take on Stereolab! I'd like to hear their version -- I think it would fit right in to their catalog. Also, I quite enjoy how you ended the track. Nicely done!

Thanks, everyone! It was a fun warm-up; now my assignment is to write a song about this post as a prize for the December 2013 MeFites' Choice Best Post Contest.

I'm finding that I like Garageband '08 (ver 4.1.2) much better than Garageband version 10.

If I had a voice like Laetitia's and Mary's, I coulda totally pulled it off; then again if I had their voices, I would ONLY write stereolab songs.
