Something of a duck-billed platypus of a Brazilian tune.
This is one of the only sambas I've ever heard with this kind of counterpoint in it. I recorded a scruffy version of it on guitar and drum loops years ago. Now that I'm sitting down to learn how to play the piano, I decided to take the 10-string cowboy guitar part and the 4-stringed uke-like cavaquinho part from the original tune and figure out a way to play both on the piano.

Jesus this is great. I really like that each part is just one note at a time (except for the unison sections), really accentuates the unique rhythmic quality.
