Two minutes about my paralyzing self-consciousness about working on my music in the presence of other people.
Somewhat appropriately (and par for the course for me), pieces of this song had been sitting around for probably over a year before I finally had the combination of wherewithal and alone time to pull them together tonight. I think this is my first time ever recording a guitar solo; I'm no great shakes at guitar and I don't have a lot of patience for solos myself, so they're short, but I think they work here.

The guitar solo is a surprisingly surprising (does that make sense?) way of breaking up this very nice, Belle and Sebastian-esque song. A very relatable feeling, of course. I can barely record at home, and if I were to have some sort of practice space studio in a building somewhere I'm sure I would be even more paralyzed.
