Gymnopédie No. 1

Alas, not a TMBG cover. But a droney, sometimes dissonant cover of Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1 on pump organ.

You haven't heard Gymnopedie #1 until you've heard it on the original pump organ.

Ie, very nicely done! And knowing Satie like I like to think I do I am positive he would have approved. It would work beautifully in a dada cabaret performance celebrating the Rosy Cross.

Thanks, bfootday, I appreciate the inferred Satie affirmation :) Funny you mention it would work well in something else, I actually recorded it for these poem videos my friend Kai Carlson-Wee makes. Holes in the Mountain is the first one (also uses pump organ music I recorded).

This feels like I should be hearing it via shortwave, as the interlude music on one of those spooky numbers stations.

Lovely. Pump organ just immediately gets you in the gut, doesn't it? It's like melancholy in a bottle.
