You've Changed (guitar/vocal)

This is a very rough recording (of quite possibly my favorite ballad ever) from a rehearsal in LA a year or so ago. I was working on possible CD repertoire with jazz guitarist extraordinaire, the oh-so-adorable Mr. Barry Zweig. (Written in 1942 by Bill Carey & Carl Fischer, You've Changed has been beautifully recorded by Dexter Gordon, Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nat King Cole, Kay Starr, Diana Ross, Charlie Shavers & Eva Cassidy, among others.)

Great guitarist indeed. Lovely song and great rendition. I love those intimate informal performances. And about your voice, what can I say? I'm a declared fan. It's really cool that you started posting here.

This is such a great performance of a great ballad it's a shame the track is as noisy as it is. I ran it through adobe auditions noise filters and added a bit of dither to see how it would sound and was surprised at how well it came out. (as with all FFT based noise filters there's a bit of aliasing distortion noticeable in places but overall it's quite clean). I can e-mail the cleaned up track if you like!

I would LOVE that! I just don't know how to do it myself. I used my cheapo version of Amadeus to amplify it a bit and then convert it to an mp3... I'm not sure how to do much else, really. Well, other than sing. ;)

It's really difficult for me to listen to modern versions of standards, it's kinda like watching American Idol. But not you, you are right on!
