Do You Feel?

Final mix. My on & off again pop Combo, Buzzie. I posted the live rough from the session back in Feb, and "we" finally got it done.

John MacElhenny wrote & sang it, John Viehweg played guitars & did the recording/engineering/mixing (I provided comments form the peanut gallery, some of which he abided) & Jay Hendrix played the drums. I'm just the bass player.

Bass drums & lead guitar are live in the garage, take 4, recorded to a PC via Focusrite firewire interfaces. They overdubbed the vox & rhythm guitar in John's living room. We really are living in the future.

I'm playing my '64 Thunderbird, and yes, I am gloating about that. I know an enlightened mind should transcend materialism, but goddam, I love that thing.

2 more to go from this session, I guess we'll finish them when we do.

This sounds great, really tight. I can hear traces of early U2 in the lead guitar and bass (I mean this as a compliment) at least most of the way through, and then I like that dirty guitars/drum section at the end. Nice work!

Yeah, I took what was jangle pop off in the U2 direction with the bass line which I recorded over John's demo of the rhythm guitar part, & then the lead guitarist took it from there. I played the Thunderbird because it has more sustain on the long notes, but I think the tone fits the song well.
