Old Memory

A little song
A little song
on the nature of memory:
how you hold onto some more than others–
playing them
over and over in our heads
until all meaning fades
in a blind cacophony of self-pity
–a senseless blur.
Later I return to form,
or at least close enough
to close,
and forget for a while.

Kind of love this poem accompanying an instrumental song idea here, although I think that's mainly because you pull off both aspects so wonderfully. Great Satie dissonance at parts.

And just noticed - 'improv' and 'onetake'. Wow. You really bring some direct emotions into this piece.
