This is the fourth of four tracks by Kiss My Face, a younger-than-we-look power trio based in Amsterdam, NL. Tracks recorded by Peter Akkerman at Ijland Studio, Amsterdam at the start of February 2018. It was a bit chilly in the studio, but they had Yorkshire Tea in there, and some Pavement master tapes.

I really like this one. I thought the sudden stop sounded like a take-breakdown or a mistake the first time and then I liked how it kept happening.

Thanks for the feedback! When we were deciding which songs to record, we almost didn't choose this one. The way we played it at the time was half scrappy / half heavy-handed. It was a bit not-quite-there. But we worked on it instead of binning it and we're pretty much delighted with the way it turned out in the end. It's my Dad's favourite too :-)

The guitars and the hesitance at first feel nicely reminiscent of a certain period, like the Feelies and that Hoboken scene, but then they go in a noisier power-pop direction and I love it. Great jam!

I really like this. The pared back backing vocals work way better than I would have thought. The mix is really nice.
