Let's help out with the soundtrack for this MetaFilter Gala via video chat - sounds like the planners are OK with recordings. See this post:

There will be a gallery of pet pictures, recipes including drink recipes, live video chat, etc. So I guess - music for all of that could range from sentimental/reflective to rave party electronica. I think there is universal agreement that 2020 was a "gift that keeps on giving" so maybe there's a topical theme: Arrivederci, 2020 Don't let the door hit you on the way out!!
