Them's The Pits

Educated clowns need no monkey suits to entertain the crowds.

Circus [EP Mix]

The final track on our four-track demo EP. I posted a very early version of this a while back, but since then it's gone through quite a transformation. [more inside]

Circus

Bare bones demo of a song I'm working on about the circus. Thoughts would be appreciated.

I fell in Love with the Bearded Girl

More from my 4-track dump onto the PC. Lyrics written very loosely and improvised on the spot; it is about a 6-year old falling in love with the bearded lady midget at the fair, and running away. The song has an anxious, circus-gone-wrong aura to it. It was recorded on 1/26/94 in my bedroom, in the middle of the night so that my roommates wouldn't hear it.

Three Ringer

Someone gave me a Hammond Audio-Vari drum machine a few Christmases back, I enjoy really simple music so I put this together. It's inspired by a visit to a circus many years ago. I'm glad I've been drunkenly poking around Metafilter tonight, I posted some music on the 'Projects' section weeks ago but this is much more appropriate.

Circus Maximus

Another song from my college band, this one part of an aborted concept album concerning the Planet of the Robots, the Software of Sentience, and other sorts of robot-related stuff. Recorded in the basement of one of Cooper Union's buildings with a small "in studio" audience shouting "hooray!" at appropriate times.
