I Hate To Be That Guy But
So ominous_paws rounded up That Guy comments and then mandolin_conspiracy said "Arranged properly, these are verses to a song. Somehow." and, well, not to be That Guy but [more inside]
But the moderator, while insisting he was not intoxicated...
...could not explain his nudity. [more inside]
MetaFilter Podcast Theme - Original
It came up in MetaTalk that I never actually posted to Music the theme we used for years and years for the monthly Best of the Web podcast, so, here it is! All 0.2 minutes of it. [more inside]
Theme from "Flood"
Why is the world about to fall in love all over again? Why will we be marching hand in hand? Why are the ocean levels still rising up? It's a brand new record for 2015: MetaFilter's cover of They Might Be Giants' classic album, Flood!
Homeless Jesus Creeps Me Out
I'm often inspired to write little songs and poems in Metafilter threads, as some of you here might have noticed over the years. I've decided that from now on, whenever time allows, I will not only post those kinds of things as text in a thread, but will record and post them here at Metafilter Music as audio, and in as timely a fashion as possible. This song was inspired by a comment posted by homunculus in a post I made about a statue of Jesus.
a song with wah ohs (because the lyrics don't mean anything)
Inspired by this comment on the blue. Thirty whole seconds of annoying C-G-F-Am ukulele and kazoo action.
Awful Song no. 143198
This is the awful song I made this morning with the help of Ask Metafilter. Relax to the smooth sounds of two minutes of obnoxious beeping! [more inside]

Africa
MuFi music challenge Wildcar, inspired by DaveJay's most recent post. Clocked random, found a comment, made a song. The comment is this one:
It's saying that African tragedy gets measured by a different yardstick.
Way over here in the land of Paris and Lindsey, it does.

On The Blue (With Apologies to John Coulton, Valve, Et Al)
A parody of the Portal end-theme, as written by robocop is bleeding earlier this afternoon. Confused? See this post for background on the original song. [more inside]
Happy Birthday Metafilter (#8)
A dangerously sappy populist paean to the great blue pylon where we like to have our pile-ons. Here's to eight more, you crazy website.
Toft Snutch
A sleazy lounge jazz scat of some of the fine, fine mefite limericking showcased in this thread about witches and the resulting metatalk discussion.
Thou Shalt Always Filter
Requiem for blink
On a sad day last spring, our benevolent dictator banned the tag from Metafilter. After a night of heavy drinking I woke up in a canoe in the Andes and composed this eulogy.
88 Lines About 44 Mefites
An ode to some of the more vibrant personas and memorable events in Metafilter history -- and an homage to the classic tune by The Nails. Lyrics with tremendous amounts of annotation inside.
