Through the Night and to the Day

My second adventure in electronic music

At first I tried to go for the Ed Banger sound but then went my own way. I can't get the mix right - the lead synth line feels too forceful at parts, but I can't figure out how to tone it down while still keeping its strong presence. Also, it feels crowded at times and I can't figure out how to better space out each part. I'd love suggestions as to how to improve the sound.

By "lead synth line," do you mean the highest pitched part? Most of this is really cool, but that highest part is killing me -- I mean, it's almost causing physical pain, it's so piercing. I'd maybe try replacing it with a different voice altogether or something. On the other hand, I really like what it morphs into at 2:30 -- that's pretty great.

I also like the break at 2:00 -- that kind of fake guitar sound is cool.

Neato. THe high-pitched part doesn't bother me a bit (though I guess it might fi I was using headphones - still, I'd leave it).
