If I Can (You Can Too)
A pretty simple dance tune. I borrowed (well, adapted) a melody, I admit - but it was a 4/4 melody crying out to be in 3/4, and I wanted to set it right. This is track 2/5 on the Hellish EP.
Hellish
Upbeat melodic Euro-trance style tune with big hooks - should get you to put your hands up and/or your foot down. Check out the video here. [more inside]

Instrumental: bass, guitars, drum machine, arpeggiator. Sort of industrial at times.
In the Castle
My kids complained they couldn't dance to any of my music so I threw and impromptu office dance party with them. [more inside]

Transcontinental Airway
Another IDM travelogue inspired by the remote land arrows of the Transcontinental Airway System. Music for dancing, thinking, or especially (if you have the means) driving.
Haunted Weather
I've spent an agonizing 11 days dialing this one to perfection. Another bumper that hearkens back to my high school days, when a song couldn't possibly have enough rhythm tracks. Suitable for all your living-room silent discos.
White Alice
A bit of Four Tet meets '90s house, with a sideways glance to Laurie Anderson. Inspiration. Recorded for my new monthly subscription music project, Faulty Machine Recordings Service.
International Geophysical Year
Not a Donald Fagen cover, alas, but a moody slice of danceable IDM in the early-'90s style. Recorded for my new monthly subscription music project, Faulty Machine Recordings Service.
Invocation
Electronics + Piano. Lots of harmonic and rhythmic drive.
Arctic Circle
For your pleasure (or pain), here's some retro-dancy/electronic melancholia we put together for the CBC song-off.
4llur
This is a little tachycardia-inducing club banger at 150bpm that I made entirely in iMaschine 2 on the train over a few commutes. I stopped when I ran out of clip slots (you get four per each of four tracks, so...).
Dreamliner
The Dreamliner effect. That’s a better way to fly.
Anything Is True
Anymore
Witch of the Waves
Original tune - not related to any others of the same name - for piano and electronics. Around 124 bpm, 4/4, lots of melody, lots of drama. The last track completed for my Migration album.
Whoa Nelly
Another older one... hoping to get some new stuff finished soon but here is a fun track in the meantime!

Lama (Malcolm Holmes' OMD Remix) by @Ummagma
Just as the seasons can see a categorical change in all the features embodied in this one unifying phenomenon we call 'the weather', so too can a song be totally turned on its head from the original version, doing a near about-face.... that is what happened to this track in this remix by Malcolm Holmes, famous for his participation in legendary synthpop group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). [more inside]
Turquoise Migration
Piano, strings, and electronics on a journey across a strange, wide landscape. [more inside]
Baleen
Whalebone
Fruitbattery
A short piano solo! Minor key, triplet feel, maybe a little jazzy, better suited to Halloween than early spring, but what can I do? It's a free download at BandCamp complete with suitably batty artwork. [more inside]
Antisocial Dance Party
Dancing is for squares. [more inside]
B'doo Deh Du
Dance-Rock Late-70's-type Instrumental. Maybe if Thin Lizzy and the Talking Heads were commissioned to write the theme song to CHiPs? The only lyrics are "B'doo deh du" and "Bah-Bah-Bah-Bomp!" [more inside]
Dance with Me
Reggae made with the infectious Caribbean enthusiasm of Leonard Cohen [more inside]
Bridge to Nowhere
You can feel the beat rising, incrementally, step by step. Melody, chorus, melody, chorus... The air clears. It's that part in the song that builds and builds to it's highest point and then [more inside]
Profanity

Lama (Mind Movies Remix)
So much music, so little time. Even in the mind of the remixer, likely that expression would sound something like "So many remix options, so little time"… which is why we're lucky there are so many different great remixers in this world (yes, there certainly are a lot of terrible ones too)… But here we have a wonderful remix by Brazil's Mind Movies of Ummagma's track 'Lama'. Certainly do hope you will enjoy this vision too.
Greetings to the Unknown
Fast catchy tune with a thumping chorus - but the piano takes the star turn in the verses. [more inside]
Man with a Beard
Ever hear a sound that falls and rises at the same time? This is NOT a song that captures the feel of No Shave November. [more inside]
Resistor - Can't Believe
I can't believe you've done this.
Electro-dance-pop.

Lama (Ian Baird Remix)
Words can only be twisted so many ways, but the same words can sound to a host of melodies. That's what happens when you dabble in the world of remixes too, such as this one by Ummagma. Really impressed with the transformation from the original track. [more inside]
56k
Even more (distorted) pump organ in your electronic music. [more inside]
Changing Me
What's up guys,
This is a new track that I produced and wrote. The singer on the track is Sean Michael Murray, who starred in the American Idiot musical. We're releasing it on June 10. Just in time, as I think this one feels like summer. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for listening,
Bobby Green
Remix Snippet
What might be the outcome of taking a rather dreamy pulse-based trance inducing track, stripping it back, adding an addictive disco electronic undertone and phasing ghost-like vocals here and there (and rather rare)…? Have a listen and then you will know :)
Lama (SOS Remix)
When you dig the original of a song so much that you can't imagine how anybody could possibly ever dissect it and re-embody it in an alternate format, sometimes you are pleasantly surprised when indeed someone comes along who capably does just that - with flair, good taste and a handful of cards up their sleeve, dealt ever so cleverly within the remix they have created. That's what we're talking about with this Sounds of Sputnik take on Ummagma's 'Lama'.
Metric Groove
From my new (free!) EP 'Part Time Drum Machine', this is an instrumental keyboard-based track driven forward by a cheap synth bass and Casio-ish beats. A different kind of style than you may have heard from me before. [more inside]
River Town (Mind Movies Remix)
Synthpop, Electronica, Indietronica, Electro bliss by the earful and here for the taking. Although it will be a while until this track will be published on any official release, you might enjoy this sneak preview.
Lama (Mind Movies Remix)
Sometimes the original version of a song can be so cool that you think that any remix might just destroy it… and then someone thrills your tits by creating something new from it that sucks you write in a smooches you from the first note. This is one such rework.
Heat Death of the Universe
This morning's pumped-up-for-the-day electronic dance music session, now with more pump organ! [more inside]
Moonstones
Synth-based dance with a nocturnal air. [more inside]
Ummagma - River Town (Mind Movies Remix)
This is one Ummagma track that has been totally turned on it's head, taking what was a dreampop folkrock-ish track and utterly transforming it into an whirling electro-dance track with traces of vocals from Shauna McLarnon. [more inside]
Fly Dog!
Flyball battle anthem. Not quite "Eye of the Tiger", to be sure, but you can still turn it up and rock out. Electronic instrumental. [more inside]
