Chemical Ace

Kinda country plus the Cure. the song's about Einstein and Uri Geller and serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, and the shady little place they all meet.

Purgatory for the win: smoker's karma vs original sin. Come on, let me in!

"God don't roll dice," Einstein says, "He plays horses: the ones with biblical names."
"So, who's in the race?"

so my friend's got a chemical ace up his sleeve. I can't believe it. It's just beneath the spot where he used to wear his heart.

The old widow sat alone in her kitchen with tv on. One by one she bent her spoons for Uri Geller, to make his miracles come true. What a thing to do!

So my buddy got a chemical ace up his sleeve. I don't believe it. Just beneath almost the very same place he used to wear his heart, so bare.

I wasn't sure how I would like this, as, at first, it sounded a little overproduced for my taste. But the slurry, mumbled lyrics just nailed it for me. This is great.

This is terrific. It's really great. This song should be played far and wide.

This post deserves more love, because this song is really good. I always like the relaxed but driving feel of your vocals and guitar.

Pavement can be too sloppy
The Sea and Cake can be too fussy
Orbiting around a combination of the two: delicious
