Invocation

A long time ago, this song used to have words. They were super lame. Now it makes for a good guitar freak out. The drums were the first thing I ever made in Ableton Live. Doing the tempo changes at the end in Live was a pain (but I still love you, Live!). I think the drums sound a bit stiff and robotic (in a bad way), but it's still about the best I can do with real drum sounds. The vocal's a bit dodgy, but is Good Enough For Now.

It's about damn time I started using this part of the site.

It's one of the reasons I paid for an account, but the Blue is a huge timesuck, and I kind of forgot about it/procrastinated for a long time.

More is coming. Better things than this, really. But this is a nice place to start.

I quite like the last minute or so.

Why, my muse of course! That's what the super lame words were about. It's part of why the song's always felt like a beginning one.

My robots must learn from yours. The beats my robots come up with are pathetic. I've threatened them with the infernal fires of repurposement, the discipline of the furnace, yet still everything they beat upon the metal skin sounds contrived and damnable.
