Do You Understand?

Hi there. I'm a writer/screenwriter. This is the first time I've shared my own music. It's electronic and certainly influenced by the likes of Richard H. Kirk, maybe a little Steven Reich. Samples include some famliar figures, plus Jimmy Swaggart shouting about the end times. Enjoy!

This is nicely done. I liked the numbers samples and the horn riff in particular. It makes me think a numbers station over a beat would be good times!

Thanks! You're spot on about the numbers - the sample comes from a 1993 recording of an unidentified numbers station. The intermittent beeps are from Sputnik.

The foundation has the "soundtrack" feel to it already, and the samples help move it more in that direction—like the accompanying film is already out in theaters and I'm hearing this on the radio. It reminds me of a time when some instrumental film scores actually got FM radio airplay.

And yes, numbers stations always are good seasoning to add to something to give it that sense of foreboding.
