This is one of a few IDM tracks I've been working on. I really like the glitchy drumline in this, plus the 3 part melody. I would appreciate any feedback on it, as I feel this is pretty good.

That's a great little drum track, especially the "bdddt" part (that first comes in at around 20 secs). I really like the synthy bell-like part (at 1:10 and throughout), too -- that's a nice melody.
For me, the weakest point is the section from 2:45 to 3:40 -- I thought it was kinda wandering and noodly. If it was me (and keep in mind I've got a pretty short attention span) I would either shorten that section up or add something to it (chaotic noises? sampled voices?).
But yeah. Man, I really like that main melody!

Thanks for your reply! I'm glad you enjoyed the track.
The bridge part you mentioned at 2:45 is a bit noodly I've thought also. Problem is is that I was really pushing my CPU throughout this track. I'm using an Athlon 2600+, so its about 3 yrs past todays technology. I should have bounced some of the elements down, but I rarely do that in case I want to tweak. I do agree that something else should be there though.
So, I may or may not add to it.. we'll see.

Ah, Karlos already delivered my only criticism. I also thought that that section was the weakest part of the track, but more because the long trills weren't as tight as the rest of the track, and felt a little out of place to me. Other than that little bit, I really liked it!

I'm um... a little late here... but I dig this. The drum track is great; I really dig the little backwards swishes here and there.

Technical details: FLStudio 7 XXL, some glitchy samples, and some VSTs. This was produced in about 3 hrs, which really isn't bad for someone like me who obsesses over things.
I've been using FLStudio since it was called FruityLoops all the way back to version 2, so I know my way around the software quite well. I've found that other DAWs can't compare to the utterly insane tweakability of it.
So anyway, enjoy, and please leave a comment if you have thoughts about it.
