uf, yeah, it is very, very nice. Every time you post a new song I feel the new one is my favorite of what you've posted.

Is that drum-thing the same you used in N'entre pas? It sounds very similar.

Aside from you having a really great voice and being a great musician, everything that you post has deep meaningful purpose and moves me. Forgive my being a little syrupy, but that's how I feel about it!

Thanks guys! micayetoca, you have a keen ear - it's exactly the same (which, for the record, is me banging my fist on the desk with a crunchy drum effect).

Fist on the desk really? I thought it was some kinda drum machine and that you "played it" instead of preprogramming it.

Also, and just because I know it is cool to hear it when someone likes your music, my sister has become addicted to your songs and now she demands that I tell her as soon as you post a new one. She is going to love this one for sure.

Wow, can you post the lyrics? You don't think it can get any prettier but by the middle it picks up so gently with the other track. Beautiful, and nice chord to end on as well.

Les lyrics: (bonus points - spot the grammar mistake I only noticed after posting!)

So it’s weighing me down
Inside and out
So it’s weighing me down
Ceiling sprinklers please burst

So it’s weighing me down
I whisper a shout
So it’s weighing me down
Ceiling sprinklers do your worst

J’tai vu dans la porte, avec tes p’tits shorts
Tu me riais au nez, je me suis acharné

It's kind of like you are a genre. I'm loving this. I can't tell if you are growing more confident with each song or if I'm just getting your vibe more and more.

I just heard this on the podcast and my butt is now totally kicked (and not just because I have a banjo weakness).

Just got around to listening to this, ORthey. Nice work! Great backing vox arrangement, love hearing your singing in French, the very relaxed feel the whole thing has... really nice.

I really enjoy this song. Very relaxing, like listening to a close friend on the beach, watching some fishing boats come in as the sun sets.

Real nice. I dig the surrealistic flavour of the French lyrics. Thanks.

You, my friend, need to put out a record, stat.

This song is still a staple of any new playlists I create or mixes I make for friends, six years on. Love it. And now my babies love it too (it's on their morning-music-playlist).
