Clotho

Did you ever play Columns for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive?

A synth arrangement of the Columns theme Clotho, composed by Tokuhiko Uwabo. Really, I did very little to the downloaded midis for this: the 6 channels retain all the original information: I just selected the synths, a couple of minor effects, tweaked levels and adjusted the tempo during the recording to reflect the time-attack nature of the gameplay, and add interest. This is only really a spit and polish on one of my favourite pieces of videogame music: to me it's so much more than that.

YES I DID. And I'm going to go crank up my Mega Drive and throw Mega Games II on right now!

Wow. That brings me back.

And, no, I never had a Genesis.
I played Columns the real way ... on a Sega Master System.

I have no idea what you're talking about. This sounds really cool though!

I've never played Columns, but this tune stresses me out, when it speeds up, if I imagine playing Tetris or Dr. Mario to it -- no! the other way! rotate! arrrrrgh

(I'm not kidding -- it really does. That's so weird!)

Karlos, Columns is a similar sort of game, so the feeling is appropriate.
