Wow your production skills amaze me uncleozzy. This is disgustingly well done, I kinda get the feeling you've done songs like this before and haven't told any of us. This needs to be on DDR.

Ha, glad you guys dug this. Really, I wanted to test an idea I had for an autotune plugin stack. Logic's built-in pitch correction plugin is not particularly well-suited to this application, so I thought I'd stick some effects ahead of it to make it angry. I really like the result... well, at least as much as you can like a thing like that. (That kick drum is really lame, though; there's an 808 hiding under there, but it's not hitting at all. Oh well.)

808, man! There's a sampled 808 kick layered underneath the clicky one for some thump, but I cocked up the mix on this track pretty badly. The first mix was really boomy (the wide, grindy bass was eating up all the low end), so I tweaked that and multiband compressed it to even things out, but never listened again on a system with a subwoofer (or with fresh ears). The result is that there's not enough tight bass in the kick to hit you in the chest like it should. If I weren't just doing this for the lulz, I'd have to remix it. I might need to add a sub to my monitoring situation.
