Like Unto Pistols

A few of you wanted to know when my band Voodoo Economics's next album came out. Welp, it's out. It's called 'Nighttime Sabbaticals'. Here's a track from it.

You can download the album (and our EP and first album) for free at our website if you like.

Sadly, this will be the last voodoo ec. album, at least for awhile, as I've moved away to get a PhD. I hope some of you enjoy it!

Having grown up on SST, this is right up my alley. Too bad you had to bail.

Pissed off guitar + intelligent rhythm section + great vocal = hell yea! dammit!

Huh huh. You said bail. /butt-head

Yeah, it is kinda too bad. It sort of tore me up to leave, actually...we've been together for five years. I would wager we'll do more in the not-too-distant future, though; we'll just be in sleep-mode for awhile.

And glad you like it!

I enjoyed this track more and more as it went on. I dig the waltz feel.
and the increasing dissonance as it ends just makes me smile.

nosila, thanks for directing me to Bail, that kicks ass like a Bad Mother Fucker!

Sleep mode sounds good, you guys have something really tight and powered up going on. I can't believe I've only listened to you recently!

Dark and funny, with dashes of Laurie Anderson. Hot.

I feel sad that I hadn't listened to you before. Holy effballs. It's extremely tight in its deranged messiness. I really dig it, and it just gets better as it goes on.

Aw, thanks guys. Does my heart good. Pass the free download link along if you know of others who might be into it. I'd love nothing more than to see people enjoying the album(s) as I put an absolutely ludicrous amount of work into them. :)

Me too! Love it! Thank you, and I hope the PhD work goes well, and that the music does too, in its time.

Very nice. Weaves in and out of chaos without losing its way - lovely vocals to boot.
