I wish you had video of this. It's definitely the type of thing which might only benefit from video.

However, even without, this is excellent.

thanks! i might video anoher one as an experiment, but i'm not sure the sight of a bald, slightly sweaty geezer hammering away at a big violin with a couple of pencils threaded through the strings would be much of a benefit to anyone (though the older i get the more i'm sure there's a niche market for everything)...having said that i quite like watching flapjax's vids.

....hang on a sec P....I'm also a bald geezer, though not overly sweaty. But I can bring being an chippy Glaswegian shortarse to the party, with a slight beer gut and skin tone to make Keef Richards look like a Clinique model (too many rollies). We may be onto something here you know - what the world really needs is a new band called something like "The Dead Grateful" - because in our state we'd be suckers for any kind of attention.....

Enough of my bullshit though. I was listening to this and itching to pick up a guitar and join in. There's some interesting rhythmic stuff going on here. Clearly if I climbed in it might be utter shit, but it might not be. Did you play to a click track? Would you object to me having a bit of a fiddle around (was that Quadrophenia or Tommy...can't remember)?

That would be Tommy, and Fiddle About. Why am I schooling you on Brit Rock?

be my guest major...would love to hear what you make of it. i didn't use a click (like, man , it's so inorganic....) hence the timing is a bit elastic at points. i could maybe generate another one with a view to leaving a bit more space. let me know if tou'd prefer that. and christ knows what key it's in. the preparations tend to make it a bit untempered.
