Do the Wrong Thing

April 26, 2011 10:01 AM

Sometimes you need to do the wrong thing. This is the first track from the PRISONERS album THIS IS ALL OF THE TIME. We recorded it at the Hive in Vancouver in January.

Thanks MeFi Music for your advice and encouragement. You guys are the best.

Bought the album! Your voice is really great, one of my favorites on Mefi Music. This could really be a popular album, are you doing any touring or otherwise getting the songs out there?

Looks like the mp3 for "Boots of Righteous Defense" is somehow separate from the rest of the album, showing up with "untitled" artist and album sections of iTunes.

Thanks for the heads up Corduroy, I'll check what the hell bandcamp's problem is.

We're mainly playing shows in the pacific northwest for the summer. We haven't done any promo stuff yet, but we're planning on sending out review copies over the next few months. Do you have any tips?

Let me know somehow if you play in Portland or Olympia, WA. I won't be around as much as usual, but I'd totally go see you guys if I can.

Wow - this is really great! it sounds so full and warm, but at the same time relaxed and sort of well worn-in. A lovely sound.

Thanks Pecinpah, we are really happy with the drum sound that we got. We used both an acoustic grand piano and an electric piano played through a distorted amp and that really contributed to the sound we got.

Reminds me a lot of The National. That is a good thing.

I am really excited about this album. I've always liked the things you've posted in the past, and this song sounds like it's in the same neighborhood. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of it.
