3 Legged Dog

July 1, 2012 9:53 AM

A very short and simple ode to my dog who I love.

I haven't recorded anything for quite a long while, and this was fairly hastily put together. I sat down to play some music and my dog was looking at me sweetly, and the wrote itself.

If you listen closely you can even hear a distant metronome in the background. Sigh.

Classic ORthey. Some of my favorite guitar work from you yet. I do hope this signals a return to recording!

Brilliant. I used to have a tripodog called Flicka, she was a trooper. This is great, made me laugh and feel sad at the same time.

This is fantastic. I actually have a three-legged dog named Petunia who is completely awesome, so I understand the sentiment and appreciate it heartily. In fact, I recorded my own song called "Three Legged Dog" a while back; it's completely different, electronic with no lyrics, but there you go. I like yours better, to be honest. Thanks for the smile.

Short songs about pets are always a good thing. This is really sweet.

just brilliant. There is a guy around town who has a 3 legged dog, and it made me think of him and how the dog uncomplainingly follows him everywhere. Awesome stuff dude.

I COME FROM THE PAST.

Sadly, I suppose this is still the past: one of the problems of committing to listening from the back up. That thing, five years ago now, made me think "wow, how far in some ways from 'The ballad of the chipmunk and the monster'" and then I stepped in my time machine and came here wondering where the trajectory would land.

This was ORthey's fiftieth post.
