My little place

April 8, 2008 4:55 PM

A repetitive, driving song featuring my first foray into recording piano-ery. It also has a jammy rockout outro (rockoutro?).

Lyrics:

my little place is a conversation starter
makes all ensuing talk much harder
my little mom is a complicate mother
she bobs up and down like any other

I know now not to pick a fight
with a talkless woman who stares

you think that just because you have money on your side
you can lie to me for my sympathy
so stop telling me they almost died
so stop telling me they almost died

Pretty nifty, it really grew on me until at the end I found myself thoroughly enjoying it.

Goodness, this is so different from your other pieces, but it's still really great. The lyrics, at least to me, seem a little bit more random then I prefer, but that's not too big a deal. That rockoutro is sweet.

Oh I missed this before.
Fantastic, as usual. The piano is really nice.
Are you a fan of M. Ward? Do you get that all the time? Then sorry.
Similar sounding voice, which is great.

I'm trying to decide if the lyrics provide 3, 4 or 5 vignettes.
