Absolutely ridiculous synth-and-spoken-word composition I recorded to cut my teeth on Reason.

This is the sort of thing that makes half of me giggle wildly and the other half wince and hide. Just completely silly.

I played it for a friend of mine who was at the time also a bandmate in a band that wouldn't touch this kind of whimsy with a ten foot pole. He suggested the vocals should be retracked with a moody English accent, and the results used in a VW spot.

I didn't even know that giraffes have voices. Although I guess it would make sense that they do.

Personally, I love this song. The vocal reminds me of something Adrian Belew did (maybe with King Crimson) about a cassette tape.

Anyway, I digress. Loved it. Thanks for posting.

This is fantastic. I'll admit that at first I found myself in a distant Weird Science fantasy-land, but then you kept going and brought me back around; I was hooked by the second verse.

Your musical sensibilities are also quite good. The smooth melodic tones chopped up via not-quite-record-scratching abruptness is my favorite sort of discord. I like the English accent idea, but your vocals are great.

Not that you asked, but I'd give this 4 of 5 stars. Thanks for sharing.

"To Cut My Teeth on Reason" would be a great song title/idea.
