A Smuggler's Song

Somewhere between Show of Hands and the Mountain Goats, we find this story of a man in a boat off the coast of Cornwall, drunk, armed and fearful.

Both Cadgwith and Douarnenez are lovely places for a visit.

Is that a stand up bass synth? It sounds to me like some nice mix between an acoustic stand up bass and a very deep steel drum, which is a good thing in my opinion.

It is called 'Meddler's Bass' from the cut down version of this sound bank that comes with Mixcraft 7. No effects on it at all. I quite like it being relatively organic sounding without masquerading as anything but a synth. If anyone knows why it's called 'Meddler's Bass' I'd be interested to know...
