Kicking up the Dust (original)

Acoustic folk heartbreak.

I've been on a writing and recording jag ever since the start of the February RPM2016 event, and this is the first track I've gotten just-about-complete. Enjoy!

This sounds nice. I like the way that the extreme complexity of the rhythms flavor the song but don't dominate it -- a nice balance. And you have a great voice. The whole thing rings.

I really like this. Very Nick Drake-like, imo.

I love this, homely and open and breezy.

Gosh what a lovely sound on the guitar. You've done a great job recording that, however you did it. In fact the whole production on this is beautiful, and adds sparkle to an already shiny song.

On my second listen now. The lyrics are great too.

This is beautiful. It reminds me so much of Laura Marling, which is the highest compliment. I love love love that picking pattern.
