2016 Buh Bye!

I, for one, welcome our new 2017 overlords. Written and recorded on a Zoom H4, New Year's Day 2017.

I hope this lands on the call-in podcast, somewhere. And that every time cortex or jessamyn played a call, cortex would sample you singing "2016 buh-bye".

Also reminded me of the flight-attendant sketch from SNL in the 1990's. That's right, 2016, buh-bye. Thanks for everything. Buh-bye.

Yep, that's the reference.

A charming little "don't let the screen door hit you..." ballad. Nice traditional American singing-humorist style arrangement. Made me think of... Um... Smothers brothers maybe? No, not that... That guy who plays piano and sings punditry (no, not Randy Newman--that guy who wears a bow tie and has that Washington beltway culture vibe?)? Anyway, nice work. Sounds like it'd fit right in on The Midnight Special on NPR or any other folksy musical humor program.

That'd be Mark Russell.
