Hey, I know where that is!

Good stuff, as usual.

The guitar is thick as a malted milkshake! It reminds me a lot of Jeff Beck.

That's high praise, not_on_display; thanks a lot!

I approached the guitar tones a bit differently than normal. I busted out my Line 6 P.O.D. for this one, using it for both the rhythm and lead guitars. Distortion, compression, reverb and delay were all added live in-performance via the POD in both lead and rhythm tracks, meaning I had to take both tracks as recorded in post-production/mixing. Not being able to add compression to a track once other instruments were added (because of reverb, for example) presented a challenge. But getting to play with reverb during tracking was worth it, I think, for the sake of capture the energy/vibe during the session.

I was a bit wary of using this method, so the fact you mentioned the guitar tone specifically is encouraging! I'll perhaps think twice about shying away from this method in the future. Thanks for your feedback!
