my idea 21

Quick song recorded this morning on Music Memo with (automatically added) bass and drums, and some synthesizers and (fair warning) voice-cracking singing.
Don't you go away. Don't you love the way the light hits my face when I say "Sorry"?

Whoa. Great song, and, like rangefinder laid it out, disconcertingly good automatic accompaniment.

Thank you both so much for the nice comments :) I personally really like the aesthetic of the automated Music Memo accompaniment, but I also have no talent for adding bass/drums of my own so I don't view it as a personal, existential threat. When an app can release mediocre, melancholy two-minute songs, then I'll freak out.

Wow I really like it! I encourage you to turn this into a completed work! I just joined so I can only comment right now but should you ever feel like collaborating. I would be ready and willing. I think we could work well together, not that you couldn't do it on your own cuz I really really like your idea. I just think good collaborators are awesome and it's a challenge especially when you venture where you have not gone before (such as a different genre.) Music is a gift and we should share it. 😀 Godspeed

To be honest I had to look up what Music Memo was. I was impressed by the sound of the auto instrumentation, and now part of me is like "Wow technology is so cool" and "I want to try it" and "I wish I had this when I was composing a lot of music!" and the other part is like "So we really are going to be replaced by robots, aren't we?"
In context of the lyrics, the voice crack on that last 'sorry' seems pretty apropos! I'm glad you kept it in and didn't re-record it. The variations in the synthesizer high notes are great and give the song a lot of character.
