Mmm, 6/8 time... The vocal's less questionable than the other songs I've posted, but it is quite raspy in places because I ended up doing it in a couple takes after already having spent an hour two whipping the screamy bits of M.A.D. into shape, so my voice was a bit shot.

sparkletone, this is a really cool song. but i think you're trying to sing above your vocal range; and i think the song would work better anyway with vocals at a lower pitch. have you tried it an octave lower?

Hmm. I disagree, or at least I never feel like there's any abnormal strain when I usually play the song. I'd attribute the strain in this particular recording to having worn my throat out doing M.A.D. before taking on this song, which was probably not the best idea I've ever had.
However, I'm essentially untrained so maybe I don't know what to listen for or pay attention to?
I'll happily admit to being biased in favor of my head voice most of the time. I'll give your suggestion a few tries the next time I practice the song and see how it feels.
I appreciate the constructive criticism (and the compliment)!

PS: I would check out Circling Wolves or Haunted Houses or some of the other things I've posted for examples of what I can do when my throat's not worn out.
