Continuing with my beat-oriented theme of late. Autechre-like, but they're still 1,000 times better than I am. This one's noisy and glitchy, just the way I like it.
chthonian planets 4
A curious alien has snatched one of our spacecraft from orbit and sent back a very strange signal...
accreting protostar
High dynamic range and distortion wrapped in a a heartbeat-like 73 BPM.
hyperluminous quasar
Something a spacecraft might hear on the edge of the solar system
galactic halo
A mellow, trippy piece with a discordant edge. File under "dark ambient for stoners."
exoplanet
2 minutes and 30 seconds of crap
event horizon
A dark, drone/noise piece that develops slowly
death is the road to awe
A relaxing drone; noise waveforms are dominant again
industrial society and its future
Extra dark and ominous; uses mostly noise waveforms instead of sine waves
some of them are hard to look at, since they are disfigured
Exceptionally resonant bass channel with two layers of percussion on top [more inside]
civilization crumbles whenever we need it most
Dark ambient work with an industrial undertone and extreme use of reverb [more inside]
bide your time and everything becomes clear
Dark and moody. Lots of reverb. This is my fourth generative piece.
what goes on in those dark rooms
Six layers of sound, created completely from scratch in the Operator soft synth, sent through a filter delayed return track
i've seen what they do
Second generative piece; bassy pad and six layers of percussion
the factory produces mortar shells
My first foray into generative music; bass drone with four layers of percussion on top
many of you won't survive the night
Another dark ambient piece; more fun than a farmhouse under seige
we knew he was out there
muffled, glitchy beats in five layers [more inside]
second journey into space
Background hum that becomes a melodious, multi-layered trip [more inside]
while making an attempt to escape the city
Howling wind ambience, strongly beat-oriented, and spikes of high and low notes
isolated research station orbiting a bizarre planet
Endcaps of warbling drone punctuated by bass stabs, and a middle section of high rhythmic complexity [more inside]
drifting out to sea
Relaxing ambient piece. I continue to love using the automation controls in Ableton Live.
a woman claiming to be the devil
A harsh, glitchy, beat-driven piece.
boxing in a flooded basement
My most melody-driven piece thus far. I'm not totally happy with it, but I got tired of tweaking things. I have several other half-finished music projects I want to work on, so it was nice push this out the door.
