Make Right the Time
This is my synth-based anthem cover of the song by singer/songwriter Danny Schmidt. This version is an earlier draft from 2018, mostly from a whirlwind month when I was trying to get as much done before my trial of Ableton Live ended. Me on vocals, synth/loops. Many thanks to not_on_display for the arrangement idea and feedback through multiple iterations. Basically I made this to help myself feel better, and I figure it's something I could share especially now. [more inside]

Live tweaking glitchy percussion loops, with warm synths to sweeten the deal.
Continuing with my beat-oriented theme of late. Autechre-like, but they're still 1,000 times better than I am. This one's noisy and glitchy, just the way I like it.

My most melody-driven piece thus far. I'm not totally happy with it, but I got tired of tweaking things. I have several other half-finished music projects I want to work on, so it was nice push this out the door.

My second song ever, made in Ableton Live. I figured out how to use the automation controls for better fades in/fades out, and I think it has a cleaner sound overall than my first one. Comments welcome.

I love evolving a feeling or a story out of feedback. This uses the free DFX Transverb plug with Ableton Live, where I set up various send channels to feed on and eventually destroy each other.
