Auld Lang Syne Chimes (chorus)
Short recording of me playing the chorus of "Auld Lang Syne" on bar chimes. Bonus background vocals by crickets outside. Total running time: 51 seconds. Happy new year, MeFi! [more inside]
When the Curtains of Night
I'm happy to present my collaboration with not_on_display: this is our version of a neat little tune that was included in The American Songbag (a 1927 folk song collection by Carl Sandburg); the song there was itself derived from a late 19th-century song by William S. Hays. [more inside]
Particle Man
My little old-timey number for the TMBG Flood covers project. [more inside]
Hypnotize Someone Else
Better a shrew than a lost little lamb. [more inside]
Paying No Mind
The song started as a very simple guitar progression and evolved from there. I love the sound of crickets, frogs, locusts, rain, thunder, etc. Nature in general. So I found some sound clips, added some more guitar, an oboe here, a drum fill there, and there it is. Simple and relaxing.
Summer's Ending (album version)
This is the closing track of my debut LP, Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies, to be released 4/20/07.
