When I Fall In Love

April 7, 2008 8:47 PM

I started singing back when I was darn near tone deaf and had the breath control of someone recovering from a pool accident. I think I've gotten better, so I'd like people who don't know me to have a listen.

I think possibly the "OMG disabled person singing" factor has prevented people from giving me serious feedback...The pianist is a guy named Michal Rus, by way of youtube.

I'm far from having perfect pitch but it sure sounds like you're hitting the notes to me.

You know, I think this is nice. You're obviously not a belter, but there's this sweet vulnerability there. Yeah!

I almost asked what your disability was, but I searched instead. That has no bearing on what I'm about to say, I just thought I'd point it out.

Dude, this is really good, especially if you started as tone deaf as you say. You really do hit the notes, even if they slide a bit, but the overall sound of the song is really intimate (and honestly, I like sliding instruments/singers). It's like a deeper voiced Chet Baker, whom I've always loved.

Thanks for sharing this.
