In A Room

Cover I did hastily yesterday afternoon of The House of Love's beautiful song "In A Room".
Couldn't get this tune out of my head so figured I'd record it just for fun. I'm playing everything so all sloppiness/mistakes are my own. Hope you like.

Is that guitar line in the original? U2 would be filled with envy. The vocals sounds sweet in this, and I love the line "the cold English blood". I also have always dug the term 'shoegaze'. What is classic shoegaze that I should look into first?
I'm not generally the biggest fan of fade outs, but I thought this worked well with the line "No, I can't slow down" repeated as he fades away, maybe out of sight?

Thanks, Karlos. Always appreciate your feedback on my contributions.
Corduroy, yes it is. Sweet riff isn't it? As far as classic shoegaze, I feel that the term has quite suffered from misuse. I'm a big fan of many late-80's and early 90's British groups that, despite their diversity, get lumped together under that term because the industry requires (new) labels to confound listeners and maintain its relevance. That said, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Suede, etc. are all worth getting to know. So much early shoegaze became the foundation of what is now referred to as "Britpop" that the lines of critical distinction are blurred. Ignore the labels and enjoy the music.
