Oh mon cher

A short song in French complete with banjo and an electric chord organ, which thankfully only has a few keys so can be played by a chump like me.

Gorgeous.
Great job.

I'd say something in French but that would be obvious.

Fantastic, fantastic song.

When I first discovered (late) that they had "opened" MetaFilter Music around mid august, I went through everything that had been posted until then and I remember when I heard your N'entre pas and chococat's songs, I was particularly blown away. It's great to see you back, hope you keep that banjo and that guitarron busy, and post some more soon.

Mighty fine a'pickin and a'singin! :) How do you make the banjo sound so indie-fabulous??!

Why, by turning "indie-fabulous" knob up full throttle, of course!

(thanks!)

In case anyone is still watching, I made a rough little translation. It was hard!

Oh my dear, you scare me -
The charity that I pity

And when the best shows itself
There's no accounting for it
And when the best shows itself
You realize...

Oh, no fees, no sentiments
I cry, perfect, no tears
Among them, these others
Get out of here
Among them, these others
Get out of here

At once, 100 things
Arrived to see me
At my door, all footless
All floating
Came in, and ruined -
Came in, and ruined the night for me
All footless, floating at the door
