Keep Laughing

Another one from the Retrospective. Written when I was 15, I always considered this song to be a more or less blatant ripoff of Lush's “For Love.” The original lyrics were even more painfully awkward than these are, and I was stuck for years on how to improve upon them, but desperation finally took precedence over inspiration: I was literally scribbling them at stop lights on my way to the studio. Not a creative high point, then, but the production is among my sharpest. To their credit, the Science Park line-up of that time made a huge impact.

Hey man, there is this Argentinian singer, Gustavo Ceratti. I'm sure you haven't heard him, but he was pretty influential in the region with his band (Soda Stereo) years ago and later by himself.

He has an album (Amor Amarillo) and I think, judging by this song, that it would really blow your mind. Check it out if you can.

I remember Soda Stereo, but I don't think I ever had the chance to listen to them. Thanks for the link!

Hey, just a little thing. Soda Stereo has great albums, but they are very different to Ceratti's by himself. It's that Amor Amarillo album that I think you are going to like.
