Paranoid Shepard

This is an endlessly rising Radiohead cover vignette; a section from Paranoid Android rises a whole step and repeats itself, and does so again, six times total, before returning to where it started, as a kind of large-scale take on the Shepard tone. [more inside]

The Golden Age (Beck cover)

A synthed out, vocoded take on Beck's extremely non-synthy song off of Sea Change, as an excuse to fiddle around with Reason 8. [more inside]

Some up-tempo electronica; designed the lead and bass synths from scratch.

Say U.N.C.L.E.

It's a cover, but not exactly. I was too lazy to figure out the whole song, so I just took the basic hook and had some fun with it. First time working in Reason.

Two fragile unrelated mini-melodies collide in a random reichian-tape-delay fight, battle it out in marred reverb, compression and unending echo chambers, get twisted and stretched to break a few bones in the last round and finally lay to rest on the ground forever after expiring. Recorded with les moyens du bord, I suggest you initally turn down the volume by 20%.

What I Deserve

A song about being left behind. Sometimes, it's deserved, but it can still suck. (The guitars aren't real. Or the bass. Or the drums ...)

Signpost to the Saturn Delta

This is an old-ish one from when I was first learning Cubase and Reason. Ambient-ish electronic type stuff!

A little bit of "Sympathy for the Devil", guitars inspired by Jonny Greenwood and The Edge, a China cymbal, Reason, some backwards editing, some speeded-up and smashed together vox, some slowed down vox - let's just see where all this gets me. Site, cd, myspace.
