...And All Her Angels Are Wolves
The last – and melodically and harmonically my favorite – song on the All Her Angels EP. Guess the secret lyrics for the (instrumental) chorus! Or invent your own.
Happy Like a Hand Grenade
A fast, upbeat back-and-forth between piano and synths - the piano gets a little moody but the choruses are simple uplifting fun. It's track 4/5 on the All Her Angels EP.
Nice, Nice
It's track 3/5 on the All Her Angels EP and you can watch a play-through of it as a BeatSaber level too! Has some very pretty piano if I say so myself.
Out of Metal and Wire
It's track 5/5 on the Hellish EP, and the highest tempo by a good measure, at a brisk 175bpm with it's own kind of groove.
Uncontrollable
A dance track that goes pretty hard! Your enjoyment might be enhanced by a very basic but very cute animation loop. This is Track 4/5 on the EP. [more inside]
Till The Bells Bring Us Home
High-energy synths and percussion with intertwining, anthemic melodies. (My love of Rush probably shows but it's a pretty straightforward tune.)
If I Can (You Can Too)
A pretty simple dance tune. I borrowed (well, adapted) a melody, I admit - but it was a 4/4 melody crying out to be in 3/4, and I wanted to set it right. This is track 2/5 on the Hellish EP.
The Beckoning Light on the Marsh
Dungeon/fantasy/forest synth again. You shouldn't follow the light! [more inside]
Energy Ladders
This is a piece that I recorded by triple-tracking myself playing an FM synthesis patch (the "twist" being that it has an extra cosine applied to the modulated signal) written in Pure Data. [more inside]
mutations
Orca jam with an OP-Z. [more inside]
Signal Tower
Semi-ambient modern synth pad instrumental with minimalist electronic bass, reversed electric guitar, and some pretty and deliberate vinyl crackle-ish soft static noise and a gentle mix of treated samples. Maybe sort of cinematic? [more inside]
Make Right the Time
This is my synth-based anthem cover of the song by singer/songwriter Danny Schmidt. This version is an earlier draft from 2018, mostly from a whirlwind month when I was trying to get as much done before my trial of Ableton Live ended. Me on vocals, synth/loops. Many thanks to not_on_display for the arrangement idea and feedback through multiple iterations. Basically I made this to help myself feel better, and I figure it's something I could share especially now. [more inside]
Divisions
Also electronics + piano. A bit more pianistic and melodic; more "pretty" than "driven."
Invocation
Electronics + Piano. Lots of harmonic and rhythmic drive.
A Natural Carpet
A psuedo-guitar-like ambient song performed on modular synthesizer. This is the third track on my new release Nereus, available on Bandcamp. [more inside]
Close Enough
Building a beat around an organ loop [more inside]
And the Sunrise Welcomes You Home
A short instrumental piece (featuring synth) in which I basically have fun building from a loop. This is my entry for the MeFi Music challenge to submit music inspired by a MeFi post (I Saw This Thing On The Blue And...). Credit actually goes to three MetaFilter-related posts from last month: two MeFi posts by not_on_display and one MeFi Music post by ignignokt; they inspired me to create electronic music again after a decade+ hiatus. savory for me
Just an experiment of guitar electronic fusion I've been playing with. I'm planning on doing an album-full of these types of songs soon.
The Guardian of Phobos
Piano vs. Electronics. Kinda epic even though it's not all that long! [more inside]
Hot Collie Bounce
Pool Rules
A loud, frenetic jam in F#, dancing between half-time/double-time, with synth slap bass!
Snow Drift
It was snowing and what better to do than mess with the arpeggiator? [more inside]
Game Night
I just loaded up Ubuntu Studio with some soft synths, and recorded this CarrotAdventure-inspired piece. It came out sounding like a game show theme, hence the name.

Resistor - Peace on Earth
Have a merry Synthmas with this peaceful electronic soundscape from the Men's Snarehouse. [more inside]
Resistor - Uni
An upbeat synthwave / retrowave instrumental. [more inside]
Turquoise Migration
Piano, strings, and electronics on a journey across a strange, wide landscape. [more inside]
Road Race
Instrumental with big tunes and riffs, and a driving cadence that's perfect for cycling (especially if the weather should force you to ride indoors). Bandcamp download (with artwork).
Malkop
Retro, funky, electro
The Golden Age (Beck cover)
A synthed out, vocoded take on Beck's extremely non-synthy song off of Sea Change, as an excuse to fiddle around with Reason 8. [more inside]
Collisions
Uptempo, hard-driving instrumental for synth+piano, with elements of trance and classical. First track on my Anthem of the Heart EP. [more inside]
Robot Sunrise
Another song from my newish free EP of quirky electronic cheese, "Part Time Drum Machine." I sort of picture a mechanical sunrise operated by heavy robots intent on bringing light joy. You know. [more inside]
Metric Groove
From my new (free!) EP 'Part Time Drum Machine', this is an instrumental keyboard-based track driven forward by a cheap synth bass and Casio-ish beats. A different kind of style than you may have heard from me before. [more inside]
Arp Acquired
Much synth
Moonstones
Synth-based dance with a nocturnal air. [more inside]
Fly Dog!
Flyball battle anthem. Not quite "Eye of the Tiger", to be sure, but you can still turn it up and rock out. Electronic instrumental. [more inside]
Anthem of the Mind
More massive amounts of Massive. I think it builds up nicely. Let me know what you think.
one note
Based on The World Famous' challenge idea in this thread, to make a song using only one note. [more inside]
Teen Drugs
Pretty self explanatory. Drug teens doing teen drugs. [more inside]
The Flank of Bridenstein
I had a bit of fun with this: it's about a relationship gone wrong. I believe that the dual bass part is rhythmically interesting. Double bass and synth bass rhythmically intertwine and are coupled with a synth trumpet. There may be some Brian Eno influences a la The Drop.
My album is available for $5 download at CD Baby: The Dividing Range.

Made In The Image
New and much improved mix of a song from a few years ago. Kinda rock-metal-electronic fun with a pretty good helping of vocal harmonies. Critique away!
Call Me Luna!
This has techno stuff arguing back and forth with pianos, a theme that's conflicted about what meter it's in, a cadence that keeps trying to change the key down a whole step, and ponies. Plenty of ponies. But I think this is my last Luna project for a while now!
Prelude to Nightmare Night
A minor-key, rondo-like composition for piano, bass, percussion, and various squelchy electronic bits. Hail the coming of Princess Luna! [more inside]
Escape from San Clemente
Upbeat dancey-trancey music for driving fast and far away (from wherever you want to be far away from). Never mind the meter, you can dance to it!
Bushy Tails
Short, fun and bouncy, melodic, dancelike-although-odd-metered, all electronic instrumental. Sort of like a lobotomized Dream Theatre interpreted via Kitsune2 would be one way of putting it. [more inside]
Obstruction
This is what happens when a wimpy acoustic guitar player writes a song entirely with a vintage synthesizer. [more inside]
Can I Register Online Please?
This started as a little tune I made up a couple years when I was trying to register for classes at my community college using their online system which wasn't working. All the parts on this track were recorded by me using my friend Ian's microKORG XL.
Frog
Live tweaking glitchy percussion loops, with warm synths to sweeten the deal.
Heat Sealed Rodox 392
Dub synth techno. [more inside]
Happy Bunny
A gamelan-inspired bit of canned synth fun.
Spacetime
A little progish - lots of analog synth, lots of interesting sounds, harmonies, counterpoint, a little odd meter, hopefully pretty catchy chorus, and one of the more obscure lyrics I've written (lyrics inside)... lots of stuff! [more inside]
