Till The Bells Bring Us Home
High-energy synths and percussion with intertwining, anthemic melodies. (My love of Rush probably shows but it's a pretty straightforward tune.)
Vampire Castle
#3 song for FAWM 2022. Tip of the hat to Exiting The Vampire Castle for inspiring the title. This one's about cancellation, and the toxicity of the queer community. Thankfully for all of us, neither of those things exist. [more inside]
Tired Of Winning
Another track from my first solo album. Like a great many of these lyrics, it began as a joke, albeit a sardonic one. President Trump had done something else horrifying and I said, out loud to mrs. eustacescrubb, "he was right. I AM tired of winning!" [more inside]
savory for me
Just an experiment of guitar electronic fusion I've been playing with. I'm planning on doing an album-full of these types of songs soon.
deeply listening
Spent the last year learning to program and had no time for music. Finally got a job and a new-ish life so I thought it's time to get back to some things I enjoy.
This one is different from my normal thing though I suppose I'v'e always had an attraction to analog merging with electronic. Maybe thanks to new order/joy division??? Though this doesn't sound anything like those.
The Guardian of Phobos
Piano vs. Electronics. Kinda epic even though it's not all that long! [more inside]
Hot Collie Bounce
Road Race
Instrumental with big tunes and riffs, and a driving cadence that's perfect for cycling (especially if the weather should force you to ride indoors). Bandcamp download (with artwork).
BFD
A mix of cultures often results in something beautiful - interesting art, world views, beautiful babies and intriguing music. And you don't have to be from either of those cultures to appreciate how wonderful this can be. This song represents a melange of two cultural infusions - from Canada and Ukraine. This is Ummagma. Enjoy. [more inside]
sound out collaboration
My brother who lives in northwest Florida took the time, energy and money to come out and visit me in New Zealand. He's the only member of my family who's ever taken the effort to come out an visit me in the 8 years since I moved here but unfortunately due to just bad timing and unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't give him the welcome he deserved. where it starts
This is one I did back in 2012. I wanted to do something more electronic but as that's not my forte, it ended up being pretty minimalist. I ended up overlaying a subtle guitar track in the end anyway...
Fly Dog!
Flyball battle anthem. Not quite "Eye of the Tiger", to be sure, but you can still turn it up and rock out. Electronic instrumental. [more inside]
Made In The Image
New and much improved mix of a song from a few years ago. Kinda rock-metal-electronic fun with a pretty good helping of vocal harmonies. Critique away!
Overt Tranceponder
A 2011 track from The Sweetheart Contract's new album, Murderize. [more inside]
In Your Face (demo)
Sort of an electro-rocky demo for the new record. Mix is rough, etc. [more inside]
Chased
Live recording from a concert at my school in spring 2009. Female vocals by me, and I wrote the lyrics. [more inside]
MandyDance
This is... baroque electronic dance rock? Well, perhaps. I think it will keep you entertained for 5 minutes, at any rate. There are a lot of things that go whoosh, a thing that goes ping, and rather a lot of things doing things near the end. [more inside]
Maytown
a song by my band, fm campers. don't really know where this falls, genre-wise... electronic rock noise-pop? [more inside]
Like Unto Pistols
A few of you wanted to know when my band Voodoo Economics's next album came out. Welp, it's out. It's called 'Nighttime Sabbaticals'. Here's a track from it. [more inside]
Cascades
the finished version of "they glow" [more inside]
Radiohead - "Nude (Strings Remix)"
The result here is spending a few free days on my couch with my violin and computer. I would love all comments/criticism from anybody, as this is something I'd like to continue experimenting with. (I guess if you like it, you can vote by clicking on the plus sign and pass the link onto anybody else).

Beauty of Love
This song is from the band I have been with for the longest, LOX-P, and was recorded at the same studio and under the same conditions as the last song I posted, War Waltz. On this recording I am the bass player, however I wrote the guitar line as well. Hope y'all like it. [more inside]
(8-Bar Wake) Before an Irish Funeral
First song off of the new People Will Blink record. This song was written about 3 years ago and went through many transformations before it began to sound... well... listenable. When we played this song live, Azeem used a vocoder during the bridge. He forgot it in California when we recorded, so we used a clarinet, melodica, and recorder in it's place. [more inside]
Howard Beale Died For Your Sins
This is off of the RPM Challenge album I sent in yesterday. It takes its title and a bit of its chorus from a Metafilter comment. Per snsranch's request, it includes more of me singing (or at least trying to).
Champagne Jam (Part 2) - Audiosports
This track is part 2 of a 23 minute mega mash up with a steady beat and some obscure samples. When I played this set live, I was happy to see people breakin' to it. Cool! http://www.albertoforero.com
