dreams over drones
A very brief (50s) sketch I worked up on the train the other day. Crunchy synth bass drone in conversation with a ringing guitar (also synthesized).
Sweetness in Greece
So I took my Jazzmaster to Lefkas, and this was the result. [more inside]
Lama by @Ummagma
Two of my favourite bands in the world are Stereolab and Cocteau Twins and another band whose music I find greatly inspiring is Pink Floyd. This song is a pure project of this triangular love for these three bands. Enjoy!
Aircraft Recognition
Short and sweet. A song about aeroplanes overhead with minimal vocals. Live rehearsal recording by Sredni Vashtar
Adaptation
If psychedelic space rock can be sparkly, this song would be the epitome of that dynamic.. Or shimmery or glistening or whatever. Glitter is in the eye of the beholder.
Ummagma - River Town (Mind Movies Remix)
This is one Ummagma track that has been totally turned on it's head, taking what was a dreampop folkrock-ish track and utterly transforming it into an whirling electro-dance track with traces of vocals from Shauna McLarnon. [more inside]
Lama (Jane Woodman Remix)
This remix of the track "Lama" does not outright flip the original version on its head, though it does dress it in a murkier shade of darkgaze (darkwave). The bright dreamy element from the original version spills over into this version too, so as to not detract from the original point of this song in the first place. I hope you enjoy it. Your feedback is most welcome.
Weird Dream House
Lucid dreaming heartbeat house. Field recordings and textures recorded within the last week here in Seattle. [more inside]
Waiting for a dream
a nice song. I'm not sure why I wrote this.
Please, any comments are okay.
Soon
A little two-chord reverie that shuffles around for a bit and then disappears. [more inside]
Portland, City of Roses, City of Dreams
Ok, so I was playing around with the two-chord song idea, struck on something that sounded nice, and this is the end result.
Brought to you by the letters G and D7. [more inside]
This Dream of Love
Another in my collection of Old Songs, in which I record lo-fi versions of song written many years and, in some cases, decades ago. [more inside]
Hey (or how the band did its thing)
A woozy, detached song that builds. My first ever attempt at recording vocals. [more inside]
California Dreamin' (cover)
Just a dreary little vignette to remind myself I record music sometimes. Started as a morning grumble, while the leaves were falling outside our kitchen window. [more inside]
