New drum machine alert (Korg Drumlogue)
Chilliwack
This was a fun one to make. Basically one improvised take on a MIDI keyboard which is hooked up to 3 synths and drum machine, with a pad from a 4rd synth going on in the background. Piano and noise-wave crashes were added afterwards.
Using the JX-8P as a bass synth for the first time and gotta say....not too shabby!!!!!! [more inside]
Slopes
Analog synth rap beat!!
Lush
Got an Arturia Keystep which means I can now program sequences on the JX-8P and baby it is a game changer!!!!!! Marimba sounds are from the Roland SC-88 which is MIDI'd up to the JX-8P as well.
Belkin
2 analogs synth looping together. Experimenting with CV connectivity to create syncopation.
leguminate
Kind of an LCD Soundsystem vibe
Python's Peak

Ice Dance
Improvising on a synth loop
Interlude
Improvising with 2 synths and a drum machine (where it's at!!!!)

Some minimal/deep house vibes. A very simple 4-track recording that was super easy and fun to make.
A New Kind of Beat 3
Arpeggiator solo
Ritmo
A little gtr, a little marimba, a little synth.
enjoying my life dot mp3
just kind of feeling good about stuff!!
Brazilian Brooks
Another drum-less synth loop featuring the Roland Sound Canvas SC-88 deploying its absolutely classic harp sample once again!
All of the sounds on both this and my last post were made using hardware rather than software which is kind of a first for me in terms of synth tunes! Really enjoying it!
postd
a new synth track featuring a new vintage gear acquisition, the Roland SC-88, providing the classic harp sample!
Signal Tower
Semi-ambient modern synth pad instrumental with minimalist electronic bass, reversed electric guitar, and some pretty and deliberate vinyl crackle-ish soft static noise and a gentle mix of treated samples. Maybe sort of cinematic? [more inside]
Fei Long Studio 8
Some FL in FL
Mellow Morns
An eggs-tremely mellow morning improv sesh on the synth rig!!!

so I've been using this songwriting trick where I program a simple loop using the sequencer on my synths and sort of riff off of it to come up with the other instrumental parts. Then, when I have the idea properly fleshed out, I remove the synths. A songwriting scaffold, of sorts (though in many cases I have kept the original loop in there!!!)
Anyways, for this track I included the synth loop at the very beginning so you can hear what I'm riffing off of for the rest of the track. Hope you like it!!!! -CA
Special Teams
Tried a bunch of new stuff this time round. It's a dance trance but I played almost everything live, including the drums which were "performed" on the keyboard, because I'm not a drummer. The only things that were automated were the drum fills, crash cymbals, and the marimba/piano 2 patterns.
Misty Views
FM softsynth drenched in reverb, chorus and delay
Unicorns Keeping it Real
Another song from my early 20s. Going through some old files and finding some stuff that I hope is worth posting on here. I will try

Soothin' Synths, Part 2: a Synthy Lullaby
We have a Prophet-6 at work right now and I just found out that the sequencer is polyphonic. Programmed a chordy little loop and messed around with it a bit while grabbing it on my H2.
Hope you enjoy the pure, unaccompanied sound of this gorgeous synthesizer!
These Few Hours (Original Soundtrack)
Instrumental piece I recorded for the Short, "These Few Hours".
Pickin'
Just having a play on my day off
Does this belong in a movie?
There's a song with words and stuff that this was originally based on, but I like the instrumental version better.
Mellow, textured, haunting, builds slowly. What do you think?
Soundtrack I Recorded for the Short "Inhumane"
I recently recorded this soundtrack for the short "Inhumane". I have linked the video below if watching the finished product is more your speed. let me know what you think.
A Natural Carpet
A psuedo-guitar-like ambient song performed on modular synthesizer. This is the third track on my new release Nereus, available on Bandcamp. [more inside]
16 Step
A short improvisation for polyphonic synthesizer and 16-step sequencer
And the Sunrise Welcomes You Home
A short instrumental piece (featuring synth) in which I basically have fun building from a loop. This is my entry for the MeFi Music challenge to submit music inspired by a MeFi post (I Saw This Thing On The Blue And...). Credit actually goes to three MetaFilter-related posts from last month: two MeFi posts by not_on_display and one MeFi Music post by ignignokt; they inspired me to create electronic music again after a decade+ hiatus. solo correctly
Some synth experiment from the vault...2nd half goes more analog...
savory for me
Just an experiment of guitar electronic fusion I've been playing with. I'm planning on doing an album-full of these types of songs soon.
A Legacy Denied
Finally finished my latest project, VOIDBREAKER. Ominous space synths, gritty breakbeats and a consciously gritty production. This is the fourth track from the EP just released on Spotify. [more inside]
Snow Drift
It was snowing and what better to do than mess with the arpeggiator? [more inside]
Game Night
I just loaded up Ubuntu Studio with some soft synths, and recorded this CarrotAdventure-inspired piece. It came out sounding like a game show theme, hence the name.

An upbeat synthwave / retrowave instrumental. [more inside]
Road Race
Instrumental with big tunes and riffs, and a driving cadence that's perfect for cycling (especially if the weather should force you to ride indoors). Bandcamp download (with artwork).
Bivball Instrumental
This is a short song I wrote to accompany my brother's ad for his new iphone game. (Bivball is the name of the game).
Fun project with short turnaround. It's a little clunky, but on the one millionth listen it suddenly levels up to "pretty good" (try it, you'll see). Comments welcome. Thanks for listening.
Metric Groove
From my new (free!) EP 'Part Time Drum Machine', this is an instrumental keyboard-based track driven forward by a cheap synth bass and Casio-ish beats. A different kind of style than you may have heard from me before. [more inside]
one note
Based on The World Famous' challenge idea in this thread, to make a song using only one note. [more inside]
The Flank of Bridenstein
I had a bit of fun with this: it's about a relationship gone wrong. I believe that the dual bass part is rhythmically interesting. Double bass and synth bass rhythmically intertwine and are coupled with a synth trumpet. There may be some Brian Eno influences a la The Drop.
My album is available for $5 download at CD Baby: The Dividing Range.

Bushy Tails
Short, fun and bouncy, melodic, dancelike-although-odd-metered, all electronic instrumental. Sort of like a lobotomized Dream Theatre interpreted via Kitsune2 would be one way of putting it. [more inside]
Dione
Electronic instrumental, 80's style arpeggio, loud bass and an extremely simple melody. [more inside]
Can I Register Online Please?
This started as a little tune I made up a couple years when I was trying to register for classes at my community college using their online system which wasn't working. All the parts on this track were recorded by me using my friend Ian's microKORG XL.
